Marcus Newman
Marcus joined The Omerta Group in 2021 and leads EMEA Equities and electronic markets, based in London.
Prior to Omerta, Marcus spent six and a half years as Managing Director and Global Head of Electronic Markets at a global executive search firm, building out the cross asset electronic markets practice. Before this he was a Partner at a boutique markets search firm in a similar capacity.
Marcus originally started his career at NASDAQ in exchange membership and market data services before moving to an electronically biased brokerage where he worked in electronic trading marketing equity execution services to the European buy side.
Marcus’s remit covers servicing the sell side, hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading companies, liquidity venues and trading platforms and he specialises in placing mid-level to senior individuals across these areas.
Vithiya Vairon
Vithiya oversees the APAC Liquid Markets practice in Hong Kong.
Joining The Omerta Group in 2013, Vithiya has spent the past 10 years covering both buy and sell side clients and has successfully placed across portfolio management, trading, sales, analysts and quants for Asia.
Prior to The Omerta Group, Vithiya was part of the Scientific Department for the French Consulate where she was instrumental in bespoke institutional mandates predominantly for Hong Kong and China.
Vithiya holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from Ecole Centrale Paris.
Jack Stevenson
Jack joined The Omerta Group in 2022 working in the EMEA Equities and Electronic Trading team, based in London. As a Senior Associate, he focuses primarily on sourcing candidates in the Equity Derivatives space, servicing the sell side, hedge funds, asset managers, proprietary trading companies, liquidity venues and trading platforms.
Prior to joining The Omerta Group Jack was a PGA professional golfer for over 10 years.
Katherine Bond-Webster
Katherine joined the Omerta Group in 2024 as an Associate based in Hong Kong focusing on the Equities practice across APAC.
Prior to joining Omerta, she worked at a boutique HR recruitment firm specialising in placements across financial and legal firms.
She graduated from The British College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Masters in Osteopathy.
